St Cuthbert's Primary School is a family.  We pride ourselves on our welcoming ethos and our school mission 'In God's family we love, we grow, we learn' which runs through every aspect of school life.  We are very proud that visitors often remark on the happy, family atmosphere that exists here. St Cuthbert's is fortunate to have an extremely dedicated team of staff who help each and every child achieve their full potential.

We have four classes; Early Years Foundation Stage (Nursery and Reception); Key Stage One (Year 1 and Year 2); Lower Key Stage 2 (Year 3 and 4) and Upper Key Stage 2 (Year 5 and Year 6).  We find there are many advantages to having mixed age classes including the flexibility this allows us to educate each child at their own level of maturity and achievement.  
 

Whilst St Cuthbert's is a Catholic school, with strong links to Our Lady & St Cuthbert's Parish, we are pleased that families with many different faith backgrounds or no faith, choose our school community.  Our children are nurtured within a warm, loving environment to allow their potential to flourish.  They are helped to develop an awareness of their rights and responsibilities and consequences for their actions, so that they grow into accepting and unprejudiced individuals who show empathy towards all they meet.
